Cool kid from Abu Dhabi

My friend, decease Elaine, website like this forwarded me an article about an awesome kid from Abu Dhabi.

At only 12 years of age Abdul Muqeet of Abu Dhabi has done more for the earth than most adults two or three times his age have accomplished. In 2010 Abdul, honorably dubbed the paper boy of Abu Dhabi, turned discarded newspapers into reusable bags. To date, he has distributed 5000 of these bags in and around his town. But more recently, he has earned himself a prestigious award, the International Diana Award, for his contribution to helping the environment – most recently helping to eliminate environmentally harmful plastic bags. And Abdul has big plans, to further his cause by expanding his reach through creating youth groups. You can read the full article and learn more about this awesome eco-warrior here.

The reason I wrote a children’s book is because I have incredible faith in our youth do care for our shared earth- their innate wisdom and raw drive to do the right thing. This little guy, Abdul, brings me much hope. Thank you, Abdul.
